Suggestions, part deux

Brown Berry had a great idea. I'm still trying to figure out what I'd like to make with this beautiful Legend yarn. I have 1,500 yards. That would be enough for a sweater, right? But, what pattern? Nothing is jumping out saying, "knit me". If you have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. I also feel that this yarn deserves something really special.

It's so much easier to have ideas for someone else's yarn.

I knit it from Louisa Harding's Modern Classics. That book has patterns by gauge and is a great resource of wearable patterns.

Maybe our fellow knitters will have suggestions too

or! you could knit Twinnings from anne's patterns at knitspot.com
Soon, I'll be showing our sample made from that pattern and our Legend yarn

Cable and Lace Cardigan, by Vogue Knitting Spring/Summer 2004. A photo is available here here. And I've seen it on Ravelry and queued it there.

1500 yards should do ya'.

Thanks for the great suggestions. Since I'm a novice lace knitter, I think I'll stick with the simple and go with the v-neck sweater, similar to kniterella's. I have the Ann Budd book (Knitter's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns), which gives me the opportunity to design based on my gauge. That should work out fine. One of these days, when I'm better with the lace patterns, I'd love to try one of the other designs. ;-)
