and....I'm back!
Hello Everyone!
I am so happy to be able to post to the blog again! Thank you all for your support over the festival season! I was so happy to see some of you at shows and am glad you introduced yourselves. Shows can be really busy and I wish I had more time to visit with people. To celebrate the end of the season....let's have a give a way! Because from now until the holidays are over....it can be really busy at times tell us what projects you'll be working on to get a little bit of knitting time in.
I'll tell you a story.....this was when I first learned to knit. I was making a felted tote bag in the round and you know how mindless that is. It was Christmas time and I needed to shop and drive down the busiest road in our town. I knew there would be a lot of waiting time between lights. I got so much knitting done!!!!!! NO, I wasn't knitting while driving....but I did knit when stopped at lights!
Post a story or project and Kim will pick a name for a fabulous prize of Briar Rose Fibers yarn!
I've made two sets of the Maine Morning Mitts from Clara Parkes new book The Knitter's Book of Yarn: The Ultimate Guide to Choosing, Using, and Enjoying Yarn

I met Clara at Rhinebeck and she is just so sweet! Her mitts are great fun to make and easy. I've been making mine out of our new fiber "Pilgrim". You can make a pair of mitts and a scarf and have fiber to spare! Pilgrim would also make nice squishy socks!
I've missed you all........now it's time to reconnect and have fun!

Glad to hear from you! I hope you'll put more yarn up on the website before the Dec. holidays -- my coupon from the WI Sheep & Wool festival is burning a hole in my pocket.
I knit at stoplights, too. I always have a pretty easy project ready for dashboard knitting!
It's great that you're back. I hope you'll post a photo of the mitts.
Story on the way...with photos if I can get my act together.
